There is now a clear trend of more and more people joining the e-cigarette parade, but not smoking when they want to get their nicotine cravings satisfied. It’s obvious why — in 2015, Public Health England (PHE) officially declared that “e-cigarettes are at least 95% safer than smoking“.

An expert independent review of evidence published by Public Health England (PHE) concluded vape pen are much less harmful to health than tobacco and have the potential to help smokers quit.

Key findings of the review include:

The best current estimates are that disposable e-cigarettes are about 95 percent less harmful than smoking

Nearly half (44.8 percent) were unaware that e-cigarettes are much less harmful than smoking

So far, there is no evidence that e-cigarettes are a route to smoking for children or non-smokers

According to detailed information provided by the FDA, it said: “However, different tobacco products pose different levels of health risk to users. Combustible products that burn tobacco, such as cigarettes, pose the greatest risk to users’ health, while non-combustible products, such as e-cigarettes, may be less harmful. However, none of the tobacco products are considered safe.

Cigarettes are responsible for the vast majority of tobacco-related illness and death in the United States. Smokers are exposed to a toxic cocktail of more than 7,000 chemicals. These include at least 69 carcinogens, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, n-nitrosamines, aromatic amines, aldehydes, volatile organic compounds and metallic elements. When they breathe in cigarette smoke, the consequences can threaten their health in many ways.” E-cigarettes can also cause side effects, including shortness of breath, nausea, dry mouth and chest pain.
